The Certification Criteria

 NeuralNet

Assessment Scope

CAIIE assesses AI and its application programs for their conformity to industry needs. Qualified programs are certified by CAIIE. Each program shall consists of two parts:

Part 1: Curriculum: main contents and instructors

Part 2: AI Lab: Lab components (hardware and software), configuration and functions. Specifically the software part is checked according to industry standards and the ability to serve the needs of the AI program.

CAIIE can conduct individual assessment for hardware, software, and curriculum according to a program context provided by an applicant.

Assessment Area

CAIIE follow a strict process for the program assessment. The areas to be evaluated are listed below. Each area has a criterion and a score. A total score of 90% is required to be certified by CAIIE.

Criterion 1: The Design

The design refers to both system design and component design.

For curriculum - Applicants submit documents demonstrating the program's mission, goal, main contents, expected outcomes, and target students.

For Lab - Applicants submit documents demonstrating the lab's infrastructural design and corresponding software configuration.

A detailed description of the software functions for the lab is required. To ensure the program is sufficient to train students to acquire the knowledge and the skills industry requires, the documents must match the industry requirements with the softare functions and the learning outcomes.

Criterion 2: The Integration

Applicants submit documents demonstrating how they integrate academic and industrial requirements as well as lab components into a single program.

Criterion 3: The Deployment

Applicants submit documents demonstrating how they deploy every piece of the program (including the currculum and the software) to serve their target students. This could include instructional approaches and various student projects in the program.

Criterion 4: The Security (Software)

For Lab - Applicants submit documents demonstrating how their software is protected from any vulnerabilities.

Criterion 5: The Support

Applicants submit documents demonstrating how the program supports students to acquire the knowledge and skills industry requires.
